The Nuclear Option Angers
Senate Republicans
Senate Republicans are angry about the vote to kill the
Filibuster Rule. The vote was 52 to 48 to kill the Filibuster. Republicans will not be able to filibuster nominees
to the federal bench. All judges must be voted up or down by the senate. The
Nuclear Option will only be used to approve federal judges and executives only. Supreme Court Judges will also be subject to the Filibuster Rule. There are 240 federal
judges waiting for approval. Sources working with MSNBC said that they have not
seen that kind of obstruction in over a hundred years. The Obama administration
is currently rushing to fill all of the empty vacancies.
