Breaking News: Gov. Christie said he had no idea about what his staff was doing. He also said he had no information about the e-mails that surface on Wednesday. The emails contradicts the claims that it was related to a traffic study: The emails also revealed fresh questions that the scandal was probably linked to New Jersey Politics. Bridget Kelly wrote to a Port Authority executive in August:
"Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee," The executive, David Wildstein, replied in an email: "Got it."
None of the emails gave any reason why they were closing the bridge on the first day of school in Fort Lee. Another email sent doing the gridlock by an unidentified author wrote: "Is it wrong that I'm smiling," and Wildstein responded: "No." Two executives resigned and Bridget Kelly was fired. I will post more of this scandal later.
