Is our Country going through what I would call a Salem Witch Trial syndrome?
The Salem Witch trials occurred in colonial Massachusetts in 1692. Twenty people, fourteen of them women were put on trial and executed as witches. This became known as one of Colonial America’s most “notorious cases of mass hysteria”. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salem_witch_trials)
Today we have a candidate running for public office who refuses to share any information about his political and business dealings; and a uniformed public and media pundits who don’t seem concerned. If Donald Trump is elected president, there is a real possibility that the country might go into a constitutional crisis. Who can we blame for such a crisis? Perhaps we should all ask ourselves this question. Don’t get caught up in all the “mass hysteria” about the lesser of the two evils, demand that media pundits produce fair and balance reporting about both candidates.
